ATLANTA (Oct. 31, 2005)-- The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled forward
Scott Barney from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League,
according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell.
The team's active roster now stands at 23, with an additional two
players on Injured Reserve.
Barney, 26, leads the Wolves and shares 17th in the AHL with 11 points
(seven goals, four assists). The 6-4, 225-pound right wing is currently
on a five-game point streak (four goals, two assists), including goals
in his past four contests with Chicago. He has points in six out of nine
games with the club.
The native of Oshawa, Ontario, has registered 11 points (five goals, six
assists) in 24 NHL games with Los Angeles, and has earned 63 points (40
goals, 23 assists) in 115 AHL contests with Springfield, Manchester and
Chicago from 1999-2005.
