The World Hockey Association Announces Expansion Into USA -- Four
Teams Submit WHA Expansion Owner****p Forms for the Wa****ngton State
Area

Mar 22, 2007 3:15:00 PM
VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/22/07 -- The World Hockey
Association (PINKSHEETS: WHKA) today confirmed that as a result of
previously announced league expansion meetings held in Seattle,
Wa****ngton last week, four US-based owner****p groups have now
submitted forms for WHA expansion franchises planned for Wa****ngton
State in the USA.

League Commissioner Bobby Hull revealed that the four US teams will be
coming from a combination of franchises which were previously a part
of other leagues and newly established teams created specifically to
play in the WHA.

WHKA CEO Ricky Smith commented, "Things are moving along faster and
better than Bobby Hull and I had originally hoped. The Northwestern
USA is a market in which the WHA has wanted a significant presence
from the start. When the US owner****p groups saw what the WHA had
planned for our hockey league, they responded enthusiastically. We are
now in the process of reviewing the applications and hope to be able
to announce all four deals have been inked very shortly and announce
the Wa****ngton State cities involved in the expansion."

Assuming the four new franchises are approved, the WHA will have now
added five new teams to its fold. Earlier this week, league officials
confirmed an Edmonton, Alberta-area WHA franchise had been created by
an Edmonton investment group.

CEO Smith stated, "WHA blueprints ultimately call for the expansion to
take the league from six to 16 teams for the 2007-2008 hockey season.
It looks like we might be halfway there already. We couldn't be more
pleased with our progress. Four or five years down the road, we think
we will be in the driver's seat. When people think of Junior Hockey,
we believe they will think of The World Hockey Association first and
foremost.

About the World Hockey Association:

The WHA created the WHA Junior West Hockey League to promote the s****t
of hockey. The Junior West Hockey League is an alternative, community-
based league for highly skilled junior players, and is designed to
promote high standards of s****tsman****p in hockey. The 2007-2008
season will feature an expansion from six to 16 teams and will see the
WHA firmly established in British Columbia, Alberta and the
Northwestern United States.

As a listed company on the Over-The-Counter Pink Sheets our mission is
to provide a financially sound economic model that is responsible to
WHA investors, coaches and staff, and the junior hockey players
participating on each team. Fan satisfaction is a primary
consideration in our decision making process.
