I know the Wings fans didn't like the goalie interference calls, but let's
look
at it this way. If the refs don't call interference just because the
player has
the puck, what's to stop players from driving the net and running into the
goalie every time they do it? Most of the time, players wouldn't even
attempt to
avoid the goalie; that could be dangerous for the goaltenders and lead to
a glut
of injuries. Because of that, I think that no matter which of the 30
teams'
goalies gets hit, I believe that play needs to be called. Thoughts?
